JOSÉ M. TROYA. He received the MSc (1975) and PhD (1980) degrees in physics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. From 1980 to 1988, he was an associate professor at that university and, in 1988, became a full professor at the University of Malaga, where he leads the Software Engineering Group. His research interests include parallel programming, distributed systems, and software architectures. He is very involved in several national and international research projects, has written articles in the most relevant computer conferences and journals, supervised numerous PhD thesis, and organized several workshops and international conferences.

BARTOLOME RUBIO. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Málaga in 1990 and 1998, respectively. From 1991 to 2000 he was an Assistant Professor at the Department "Lenguajes y Ciencias de la Computación" of the University of Málaga. Since 2001 he has been an Associate Professor in the same department. He is working in the areas of distributed and parallel programming and coordination models and languages. Currently he is specially involved in the research field of wireless sensor and actor networks. He has been a member of the Software Engineering group of the University of Málaga (GISUM) since its foundation.

MANUEL DIAZ. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Málaga in 1990 and 1995, respectively. From 1990 to 1995 he was an Assistant Professor at the Department "Lenguajes y Ciencias de la Computación" of the University of Málaga. Since 1995 he has been an Associate Professor in the same department.He has worked in the areas of distributed and parallel programming and in real-time systems, especially in the areas of software engineering for these kinds of systems. He has been a member of the Software Engineering group of the University of Málaga (GISUM)since its foundation.

EDUARDO CAÑETE. Eduardo Cañete received his his M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Málaga in 2007 and 2012, respectively. Currently, he is specially involved in the research field of wireless sensor and actor networks. Specially his work is focused on the design of a Service-Oriented Framework to facilitate the development of Wireless Sensor and Actor Network applications in a efficient, easy and flexibility way in order to abstract to the developer of difficult tasks. He has been a member of the Software Engineering group of the University of Málaga (GISUM) since 2008.

JAIME CHEN. He earned his his M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Málaga in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He is working in the areas of Wireless Sensor and Actor Networks and its applications. He is specially involved in the research field of high level programming abstractions for WSANs. He has been a member of the Software Engineering group of the University of Málaga (GISUM) since 2009.
